My 2000 Ford Mustang v6 This was actually done by Ford because I was (un)lucky enough to have a whining 7.5" axle. The 8.8" didn't affect the car much other than I could finally spin both tires. I did have a LOT of wheel hop after this due to the fact that I did not have quad shocks in place to control the axle movement. Excellent shifter feel compared to stock. Although the stock T-5 shifter has a decent feel, it can't compare to the feel of the Tri-Ax. My only complaint with the Tri-Ax is gear noise, and lots of it. If this were a Cadillac that would bother me, but being a Mustang, I don't mind it too much. It just reminds me that I need to get a louder exhaust setup! Subtle but noticeable increase in power over stock. Not something that I recommend to guys wanting a supercharger, but for you NA or nitrous guys, this is a must.. Very nice set of springs. Offered just over 1.25" of drop in the front and exactly 1" in the rear. Handling was tightened up quite a bit over the mushy stock springs, especially when combined with the GT rear swaybar I had in place. Excellent struts. Theres nothing that I can complain about with these struts. The Bilsteins would be more suited to a heavier spring like H&R Race springs rather than the Steeda Sports, but did an excellent job with the Steedas. The ride was smoothed out a bit with the Bilsteins, and handling was MUCH better than with the stock shocks and struts. Polished Aluminum '95 Cobra R Wheels Nice quality, though the wheels had no coating on the polished aluminum. The uncoated polished finish requires a lot of repolishing to keep the finish bright and like new. These wheels are HEAVY also, much heavier than the chrome AFS '03 Cobra wheels I had on my 2001 Cobra. Goodyear Eagle HP Ultra + 245/45/17s Decent tires. Not bad at anything, but not excellent at anything either. I've had worse tires, and better tires. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone, however, due to their cost. For the price, I'd expect a much nicer tire.. |
